Jesus the Good Shepherd: 22nd Anniversary Celebrations

Jesus the Good Shepherd Community celebrated its 22nd Anniversary with great joy. From a small group of 4 couples, the community has now grown to nearly 45 adults, 11 youth and 25 children.

We see in our lives some continued shortcomings or sin and wonder how the transformative power of Christ is actually being manifested. “From Glory to Glory: Transformation in Christ” is a four-part teaching series on God’s transformative work in our lives.

Youth on Fire: Successful Youth Conference in Fiji

Some 85-90 young people, 20 of whom were from Samabula Gospel Chapel gathered for a 3-day conference at Albert Park, Suva, Fiji organised by the Patmos Christian Community in partnership with the Lamb of God Christian Community, New Zealand.

Some Elements of Discipleship in Christian Community

This article covers some elements of Christian discipleship, the ones that I have chosen to highlight in an effort to give a “snapshot of discipleship” in our approaches. There are other approaches and we know that there are many disciples of Christ in congregations, parishes and groups around us. We think that our approach has something to offer the broader church, and we continue to learn and refine.

Abide in me: a very grace-filled event

This last 23rdto 26thof July, the North Zone of Kairos Ibero-America lived a very graceful and spiritually igniting event. Almost 450 people from all ages and 13 different communities of Mexico, the Caribbean and the United States were gathered in the city of Tampico.

Our brothers and sisters in Emmanuel from their part have been busy sharing the message of repentance and abundant new life to all who would hear, proclaiming that salvation comes only through Christ’s death and resurrection. As a result, many have heard the proclamation of the good news and turned their lives around in response.

Feast Or Famine?

Sometimes I hear people complain about the work they have to do in preparing a celebration – the decoration, the cooking – but this is part of the real feast! It gives you all the more joy if at the end of all the work you can sit down and look around and say (like God did): behold, it is very good.

Pequeña Israel – The plant is mine

The Pequeña Israel Community springs up from a personal call of the Lord in 1986, when in a Fellowship Retreat the Lord gives a word to Fermin Iglesias that says: “The plant is mine”.

True Holiness

The holiness we seek does not consist of human perfection or strength of will, but God’s grace.
